Meet Natsukosensei PDF Print

Hajimemashite. I'm Natsuko. Born and raised here in Shizuoka, Japan, I came to know Christ through the influence of the Navigators, an evangelical mission. After graduating from College and teaching at a normal Japanese School for several years,

I was asked to help teach some of the Navigator staff as well. Over time these opportunities increased and my other teaching decreased. I was delighted to help those who came to our land to communicate the gospel, but there were also difficulties.

To be honest, I was tempted to return to the security of teaching at a normal language school, the difficulties of being an independant teacher to such a specialized and limited number of students had been difficult. But one day I was challenged by one of my missionary students, Jin Rood, who said, "Natsukosensei, there are many Japanese teachers in Japan. Why do something that others are doing? God has given you a special gift of helping equip us missionaries for service here." In these words I sensed God's clearer calling on my life.

That was three years ago. The difficulties haven't gone away, but the joy and excitement has grown! I'm confident that God has called me to serve him by helping He messengers learn the language that they will use everyday.

It's been an adventure to see who God sends my way to help equip for ministry. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you accomplish your language goals, whether it be a refresher course or a full-term language study program.

Yoroshiku-onegaishimasu!
